Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Nursing, Professor Dr. Dirgham Al-Fatlawi, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Nursing held an awareness seminar entitled “Domestic Violence and its Effects in General.” The seminar was presented by Dr. Dalal Zamat Hamza.
The seminar aimed to shed light on the widespread phenomenon of domestic violence in society and to explain its serious negative repercussions on the individual, the family, and society as a whole. The seminar witnessed attendance and interaction from faculty and students of the college, during which several topics were discussed, including the various forms of violence, the underlying causes, and the resulting psychological, social, and health effects.
