Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Hussein Al-Khalidi, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Engineering organized an awareness seminar entitled “Mechanisms for Reporting and Confronting Electronic Blackmail According to Iraqi Law.” The seminar was presented by Assistant Lecturer Israa Riyadh Al-Gharra and [name missing]. The seminar aimed to promote digital security, protect individuals from cybercrimes, and emphasize the university’s leading role in raising community awareness.
The seminar issued several recommendations, including the immediate reporting of any case of extortion, avoiding succumbing to cyber threats, and supporting cooperation between legal authorities and academic institutions to create a safe digital environment for all.
