The Faculty of Archaeology places great importance on waste management, treatment, and recycling according to approved scientific and health standards, ensuring environmental protection and the safety of staff and students. As part of its efforts to reduce non-organic waste, the Faculty has adopted a clear policy aimed at minimizing the use of paper and plastic in its administrative and academic transactions.
This has been achieved through the transition to an electronic correspondence system via the internal intranet that connects the Faculty to all university departments, significantly reducing the consumption of paper and plastic materials within the Faculty. This step is part of the institutional direction towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and reducing the environmental footprint of academic institutions, thus reinforcing the Faculty of Archaeology’s role in supporting the principles of sustainability and maintaining a clean and healthy university environment.
