The College of Medicine at Al-Qadisiyah University held its comparative evaluation conference for the academic years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 in the Grand Conference Hall. The conference was attended by the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, the Scientific Assistant, the Dean of Iraqi Academics, members of the College Council, and a select group of professors.
The conference was also attended by a select group of healthcare leaders, including the Director-General of the Diwaniyah Health Department, the Dean of Diwaniyah Physicians, the Director of the Gynecology and Children’s Teaching Hospital, and other relevant figures.
The conference opened with a recitation of the Holy Quran and the Fatiha for the souls of Iraq’s martyrs. The national anthem was then played, followed by a speech by the college’s Scientific Assistant, Professor Nael Mohammed Al-Hamzawi.
The conference covered all previous activities, the research plan, published research, administrative and scientific achievements, and proposals for advancing the academic level.
The proceedings also included a comparison between previous years and the achievements made over the past two years, including updates to academic branches and graduate programs, an increase in the number of laboratories and halls, and an increase in the number of research projects and teaching and administrative staff. Professor Anwar Jasib Thaban, Head of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division, confirmed a significant qualitative leap in academic performance at the college.
The conference concluded with qualitative discussions, a special honoring of university leaders and individuals supporting the college’s work, and a field tour to view the laboratories and classrooms.
