The Committee for Monitoring the Implementation of Chemical and Biological Safety and Security Standards organized a visit to the College of Medicine to implement the ministerial recommendations decided by the ministerial committee that had previously visited the university’s laboratories and warehouses. A comprehensive assessment was conducted of all chemical laboratories and warehouses in the two colleges of medicine, in terms of building style, laboratory classification by type, general preparatory measures, and safety and awareness programs.
During the visit, the committee recommended implementing a chemical, biological, and radiological safety and security plan to properly handle and prevent incidents within the colleges. It also recommended focusing on awareness programs and ongoing training on the dual use of chemical, biological, and radiological materials.
