Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine held a workshop entitled “Labor Law and Social Security,” presented by Assistant Professor Dr. The workshop was moderated by Ms. Mead Qader.
The workshop aimed to introduce the most important provisions of the Labor and Social Security Law, as well as to outline the rights and duties of working women according to applicable legislation. It also highlighted legal guarantees related to maternity, leave, and protecting women from discrimination in the workplace.
The workshop also included discussions among participants regarding the challenges facing working women. Case studies and practical experiences related to the application of the law were also presented, along with recommendations for spreading legal awareness and promoting a culture of equality in the labor market
