Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the College’s Women’s Affairs Unit held an educational seminar entitled “Raising Political Awareness for Iraqi Women.” Senior Legal Advisor Dunya Hussein Haydour lectured at the seminar, and the seminar was moderated by Ms. Miad Qader.
The seminar aimed to highlight the importance of Iraqi women’s participation in political life, enhance their role in decision-making, and consolidate the concepts of equality and political empowerment.
The seminar recommended the need to activate awareness programs targeting women, encourage their involvement in party and electoral work, and support legislation guaranteeing women’s political rights.
