Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Department of Diseases and Poultry Diseases held a course on the use of laboratory diagnostics to control viral diseases in poultry. The course was presented by Prof. Dr. Anfa’ Subaih Jassim, Asst. Prof. Dr. Diaa Jaber Hamza, and Asst. M. Muhammad Mahdi Yassin
The course demonstrated how to conduct various tests to diagnose viral infections and methods for diagnosing viruses using antibody detection tests and direct virus detection. It also addressed the most prominent methods for diagnosing viruses and the tests used.
The course recommended that proper collection and handling of diagnostic samples is crucial to the success of virus detection and isolation techniques.
