Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Rahi Kalf Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Professor Hussein Falah Ward, the College of Administration and Economics held its first annual festival on sustainable development and green education. The goal of this festival was to raise awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals and encourage community participation in achieving these goals.
The festival included a scientific workshop on smart cities and building a sustainable economy, presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Manaf Marza Nema, Professor Dr. Nawar Abdullah Al-Lami, Assistant Professor Dr. Shatha Salem Dali, and Assistant Professor Amira Ghasi Ajil.
The workshop included discussions on smart technology, environmental sustainability, and economic development, with a focus on the role of smart cities in achieving a sustainable economy. The festival also included a documentary film on the achievements of the College of Administration and Economics in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The festival also included a tree-planting campaign in the college’s corridors. This initiative aims to foster a spirit of volunteerism among students and faculty, and also contributes to enhancing the natural environment and increasing green spaces within the college.
