The College of Medicine at Al-Qadisiyah University held the closing ceremony of the second annual cultural festival in celebration of International Women’s Day.

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kadhim Jabr Al-Jubouri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Aqeel Rahim Al-Barqawi,
the College held the closing ceremony of the second annual cultural festival. The two-day festival was held in celebration of International Women’s Day under the slogan “Your Health is Your Decision… Start It with a Step.”
The closing ceremony included a speech by the Dean, followed by a speech by Ms. Sundus Al-Moussawi, Head of the Health and Women’s Committee in the Diwaniyah Provincial Council. A speech by Dr. Zainab Karim, Head of the Women’s Affairs Department in the Provincial Diwan, was also delivered. An educational seminar was also held on women and their role in shaping the family in society, presented by Colonel Abbas Al-Barqawi. The session was moderated by Dr. Hiba Mohammed, Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College.
The ceremony concluded with honoring the participants, lecturers, organizing committee, contributors, and a group of female students with disabilities.
