The College of Veterinary Medicine at Al-Qadisiyah University organizes a workshop on women’s self-protection.

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul-Amir Abdul-Fattlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the college organized an awareness workshop entitled “Defend Yourself in Cases of Harassment.” The workshop was presented by Professor Dr. Haifa Jumaa and moderated by Ms. Miad Qadir. The workshop primarily aimed to break down the barrier of fear among female students and instill the necessary confidence to firmly confront any inappropriate behavior, emphasizing that awareness is the first line of defense in creating a safe university and social environment. The workshop also reviewed the importance of strong body language and the necessity of not remaining silent about rights, while clarifying the legal and administrative avenues provided by the university to guarantee women’s protection and privacy, thus ensuring they can fulfill their academic and societal roles in an environment characterized by dignity and mutual respect.
